Of the 260 commitments signed as part of Pe\u00f1a Nieto&#8217;s election campaign, 90 were related to infrastructure and public transport; a clear show of his strategy for economic improvement and growth in Mexico. In fact, by the end of his 6-year term, Pe\u00f1a Nieto aims to have doubled investment in this area.<\/p>\n<p>Furthermore, in visits to countries in the European Union, Pe\u00f1a Nieto has made clear the message that Mexico is now primed to become a place of opportunity for development and investment, both foreign and domestic, and has also reiterated his position on the importance of paving the way for private-sector participation in state-owned petroleum company Petr\u00f3leos Mexicanos, in order for it to grow and strengthen.<\/p>\n<p>Europe already has significant investments in Mexico, from Germany and Spain especially, and if we consider the fast-growing, powerful middle class within the country&#8217;s major cities, the signs would certainly support Pe\u00f1a Nieto&#8217;s sentiments that Mexico is to undergo an exciting economic period.<\/p>\n<p>With the incoming government&#8217;s drive for construction, development and economic growth, Mexico looks certain to become one of the most attractive and competitive areas for investment in the world.<\/p>","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>By Sergio Guerrero Rosas, Guerrero y Santana, S.C.
